According to Wikipedia, planning is the process of thinking about the activities required to achieve a desired goal. Planning is what gets you from thought to reality. With proper planning, you can achieve your goals. Planning is a very powerful tool that can help you move forward with what you want to accomplish in your day and life.
How to Start Planning
Step 1: Pick a Planner That Works for You
I believe that the best way to start planning is to get a planner. There is an abundance of planners to pick from. You will want to look through the planner before you commit to one. Maybe you want a simple planner, or maybe you want a planner that is very detailed. Either way, pick a planner that you will want to look at a lot.
Step 2: Fill in Key Dates and Reminders
Enter any key dates, events and important reminders in your planner. This step will be on-going. You will continually have to enter any important information in your planner.
Step 3: Check Your Planner Frequently
The biggest key to successful planning is to continually check your planner. If you don’t look at your plans, you won’t remember what you need to plan for. I suggest having a specific location for your planner, and keeping your planner open to ensure maximum use of your planner.
Step 4: Keep Going
Once you have mastered using your planner, keep going. Keep using your planner and checking it frequently. Staying focused on using your planner will keep you on the right path to successful planning.
