Some days feel off.
Like you wake up already behind, your space is messy, your brain feels all over the place, and somehow everything feels harder than it should.
I used to think I needed a full routine overhaul to fix that.
You know—wake up earlier, do a full morning routine, suddenly become super productive overnight…
But honestly? I never stuck to any of it.
It always felt like too much.
And that’s when I realized I didn’t need a whole new life—I just needed a simple reset.
Quick to start.
Realistic to maintain.
And finally—something I’d actually do.
Why Most “Reset Routines” Don’t Work
Most advice tells you to:
- Wake up at 5am
- Journal for 30 minutes
- Work out
- Meditate
And if that works for you, that’s great.
But for most of us… it’s just not realistic every day.
At least it wasn’t for me.
When something feels overwhelming, we avoid it.
And then we feel worse for not doing it.
So instead of trying to fix everything, this reset focuses on one thing:
👉 Getting you back to center—quickly and gently
The 10-Minute Daily Reset Routine
This is what I started doing instead.
Nothing complicated. Just 10 minutes.
1. Clear Your Mind (2 minutes)
I usually start by just getting everything out of my head.
No structure, no pressure.
Sometimes it’s messy. Sometimes it’s just one sentence.
- What’s been bothering me?
- What’s been sitting in the back of my mind?
Writing it down—even briefly—makes a bigger difference than you’d expect.
2. Choose 3 Non-Negotiables (2 minutes)
This changed everything for me.
Instead of writing a long to-do list I’d never finish, I pick just 3 things:
- One thing for my life (errands, cleaning, etc.)
- One thing for my body (movement, food, rest)
- One thing for my mind (reading, quiet time, journaling)
That’s it.
If I do those, the day already feels like a win.

3. Reset Your Space (2 minutes)
I don’t deep clean or anything.
Just a quick reset:
- Make the bed
- Clear a surface
- Open a window
It’s such a small thing, but it shifts your mood fast.
4. Check In With Yourself (2 minutes)
This is the part I used to skip—and probably needed the most.
Just pause and ask:
- How do I actually feel right now?
- What do I need today?
Not what you should do.
What you actually need.
5. Set Your Intention (2 minutes)
I keep this super simple.
One sentence:
👉 “Today I want to feel ______.”
It helps guide everything else without overthinking it.
Why This Works
This isn’t about being perfect or doing more.
It’s about:
- creating a little clarity
- reducing overwhelm
- giving yourself a reset point
And honestly, some days that’s all you need.
What Helped Me Stay Consistent
If I’m being real, I wasn’t consistent with this at first.
I’d forget, skip days, or just not feel like doing it.
So I made a really simple page for myself—just something to follow so I didn’t have to think about it.
That ended up turning into the That Girl Daily Reset Planner I use now.
It’s nothing complicated—just all of this laid out in one place so it’s easier to stick to.
If you want something like that, you can check it out here:

But honestly, even using a notebook works.
The goal is just to make this a habit.
Final Thoughts
You don’t need a full life reset.
There’s no need to do more.
You just need a moment to pause and reset.
Start with 10 minutes.
Keep it simple.
Do it again tomorrow.
That’s how things actually start to change.
